Field Counter

Our Evanston, Illinois-based transportation consulting firm is looking for temporary staff interested in working as Field Counters. The work involves riding a commuter train and counting passengers boarding and disembarking at each station.

Minimum qualifications include:

• High school graduate with adequate math skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods while onboard a moving train.
• Dexterity to operate manual finger counters using both hands.
• Must be able to enter data into a computer/tablet/smartphone.

Reliability and ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment is expected. Survey schedules will be Tuesdays to Thursdays, 24 hours a day.  Available work shifts will include early morning, midday, afternoon and late evenings. Assignment will depend on applicant’s availability. Pay rate is $11-12 per hour with performance bonus.
