Isabel Cañete-Medina runs the day-to-day operations of Canete Medina Consulting Group Inc. She has over thirty years of experience in urban and transportation planning and has been involved in the preparation of rail and transit studies, station planning, pedestrian studies, travel market analysis, corridor studies, feasibility studies, alternatives analyses, environmental impact statements, and comprehensive plans.

Benjamin V. Medina, PhD
Ben Medina spearheads private-sector consulting projects at Canete Medina. He is known for his acumen in assessing client business needs and analyzing supply chain operations across multiple industries. He has over 30 years of experience in project management, strategic planning, supply-chain optimization, transportation cost reductions, logistics, operations and process analysis, feasibility analysis, financial cost modeling, and decision support.

Elizabeth “Libby” Tyler, PhD, FAICP
Libby Tyler is a consulting planner with over 35 years of experience in land-use planning, community development, economic development, and environmental assessment. Libby’s experience includes professional planning work at the municipal, state, and federal levels as well as extensive private consulting in both Illinois and California.

Rebeca Alvarado
Rebeca manages CAD and GIS projects for Canete Medina. She also assists in business development activities, coordinating the preparation of proposals and the production of marketing materials. She is engaged in survey design, Spanish translations, data encoding, data analysis, geocoding, preparation of final reports, and developing GIS maps and graphics for various company projects and initiatives.

William Holcomb
Bill Holcomb has over 30 years of experience in supply chain analytics, modeling and optimization. His experience includes transportation, production, inventory, and facility optimization in a variety of industries. Industries include: food and beverages, pharmaceutical and medical supply distribution, construction and farm equipment, and management consulting. Bill specializes in model development for optimization and supply chain strategic analysis.

Elena Oh
Elena manages Canete Medina’s graphic design team. She is responsible for developing graphics and layouts for marketing materials, proposals, presentations and other outward-facing documents. She designs logos, icons, promotional products, and company collateral. She is also involved in the design of company and project-related websites.

Terry Rollman
Terry has 30 years experience in business development roles, responsible for client acquisition and revenue growth in the publishing industry. She has directed all aspects of marketing: sales presentations and collateral, digital and print media campaigns and live events. At Canete-Medina, Terry is involved in client acquisition, marketing and sales presentations, as well branding and content development.

Loren Kuzuhara, PhD
Loren Kuzuhara is a management consultant and teaching professor with 30+ years of expertise in leadership and organizational development, performance excellence, employee engagement and motivation, team effectiveness, and organizational culture. He has coached others engaged in research and consulting projects, focusing on organizational effectiveness, performance excellence, organizational behavior, and human resource management.

Nebiyou Tilahun, PhD
Nebiyou has over 15 years of experience in transportation research. His work focuses on travel behavior, demand analysis, accessibility measurement, transportation safety and transportation equity. He has broad experience in transportation data and equity analysis and spatial statistics. His work aims to influence planning and policy towards safer and more equitable transportation systems.

Ivis García Zambraña, PhD, AICP
Ivis has worked with city government and non-profit organizations on issues that advance diversity, equity, and inclusion. Her research focuses on housing, transportation, and community development. She has received over $1 million in external research funding, including the Environmental Protection Agency, the National Science Foundation, and the National Institute for Transportation and Communities.

Tierra S. Bills, PhD
Tierra has extensive training in travel demand modeling and is engaged in ongoing work on representation of transport disadvantaged groups in household travel surveys, which are traditionally used to estimate and validate travel demand models. Tierra also works to advance accessibility measurement for transportation project evaluation and develops strategies for ranking alternative transportation plans using equity-based criteria.

Michelle E. Zuñiga, PhD, AICP
Michelle is an urban and community planner whose research focuses on the intersection of environmental justice, land use policy, and transportation. She has authored a variety of studies focused on mitigation in neighborhoods bisected by highways, community engagement as called for by local Sunshine Ordinance laws, and the impact of sustainable urban development in predominantly Latinx communities.

Benedicto C. Medina
Ben works in a variety of capacities including managing the company’s IT infrastructure, and development of software and web applications. He participates in data analytics and data mining for the company’s domestic and international consulting projects.

Claire Johnson
Claire supports stakeholder outreach and community engagement activities for Canete Medina. She participates in the development of stakeholder lists, communication and coordination with agencies and organizations, and event management and scheduling. Claire also assists with project administration, office management, and other business management tasks.

Michael Ward III
Michael assists with business development activities for Canete Medina. Since 2016, he has also served as a Field Manager for surveys and data collection projects. He served as Field Manager for two system-wide origin-destination survey and ridership count projects for Metra Commuter Rail. His recent field management project is the Madison Metro Transit Onboard Survey.

Alexander Florez
Alex works on various projects: conducting research on data sources, latest trends and news on e-commerce, collecting data and organizing datasets, preparing data tables in Excel, performing quantitative data analytics, conducting planning analysis, developing maps using GIS, assisting with writing and compiling reports and with graphics and illustrations for technical reports.
